Gustav Skippers was born in a small Town called Hermon about 60kms outside of Wellington in the Boland Region, South Africa. Growing up with music and going to other towns with his Dad Pieter Skippers who was a mobile Disco DJ at the time grew his love for music.

When Gustav arrived in Paarl he heard about a Community Radio Station being established through a Community Youth Project Koinonia. Gustav joined the team at Radio KC 107.7FM the next day after they first went on air on September 24, 1996. The station is now the oldest Community Radio Station in Paarl. Gustav was a part of the station until late last year coming back to join the team 3 times as a presenter and technician.

Gustav is a qualified Sound Engineer for TV, Radio and Live Events. He has more than 15 years of industry experience and also helped establish Radio Eldo's 87.6FM in Johannesburg, South Africa. Today he manages a small business in the events industry and hosts an Internet Radio Show on SANZlive Radio, Paarl Valley Internet Radio and lives out his dreams and love for Radio. Gustav has 4 kids and resides in Paarl with his fiance where he also runs his business and broadcasts his live shows.
